Are you prepared to close your Gmail account?
You can delete your Gmail address from your Google account if you no longer need it.
Google cautions that if you delete your Gmail account, you won't be able to send or receive email at that address again. However, if you change your mind, you might be able to get your Gmail account back.
You should get in touch with your administrator if you use Gmail for work, school, or another organization.
After deleting your Gmail account please check it
A word of advice: Think about downloading your data before deleting your Gmail account in case you need it in the future.
Removing Gmail
Take a backup of your data before terminating your Gmail account.
Tap Google in the Settings app on your device.
Toggle Data & privacy to the top.
Continually scroll to "Data from apps and services you use."
Tap Delete a Google service under "Download or delete your data."
Tap Delete next to "Gmail."
Delete your Gmail account by following this step
Visit your Google Account first.
2. Click "Data & Privacy" on the left menu.
3. Scroll down until you see "Data from apps and services you use."
4. Select Delete a Google service from the "Download or delete your data" section.
5. Type in your passphrase.
6. Select "Gmail" and then click the trash can icon.
Control your Gmail.
7. Type in the email address that you currently use to access Google services, then click "Send verification email." You are unable to utilize another Gmail account.
8. Open the email you received from Google and click the account deletion link.
9. If a confirmation box appears, choose "Yes, I want to delete my Gmail account."
